Be Social: Charity and Notable Events in Philly, Plus #PCCBuzz

Be Social – Every Sunday I’ll post upcoming events that have been sent to me that I think you’d be interested in attending, but since I’m creating this new “column” I want to play catch up. Often I put these events on on twitter, not so much on my other social media outlets. Nearly every time I photograph an event, a reader will ask “I wish I knew about this event.” I’ve always wanted to add these to my “public calendar” but doing that is too time consuming. So they’re here for you to put on your calendar.  Be sure to follow me on Twitter @iphillychitchat (#PCCBuzz), Instagram and Facebook: PhillyChitChat where I will post various events daily.

The Philly Social Scene is underway, whether it’s a grand gala, a trunk show, Forbes 30 under 30 I’ll fill you in, and in most cases will have photos and info from the event. Next to the events where I know I’ll be shooting I will say Smile, I’ll be here shooting.
but that doesn’t mean I won’t be at the other events it all depends on my client event schedule.

Congrats to PGN founder Mark Segal, legendary Gay Rights Advocate, on his new book “And Then I Danced” which publishes today. You can pick it up on Amazon, and book stores like Barnes & Noble on Rittenhouse Square, where he will be doing a signing next week. He’s having a private book party Wednesday that I will be photographing, so check out those photos in Philly Mag on Thursday.

Because of activists like Mark Segal, whose life work is
dramatically detailed in this poignant and important memoir, today there
are openly LGBT people working in the White House and throughout
corporate America.
