RANDOM SHOTS CAUSE FROM MY BLACK BERRY
Today at 39th & Walnut, at the Radium Building, please visit my Aunt Mary's and Cousin Kelly's fruit & vegetable stand at the farmers market.
Recently Chipotle redesigned the windows at the former Susanna Foo's restaurant. Foo had designed and picked out the windows herself. Now they have been enlarged them and paved a new sidewalk.
In the evening a Philly cop guarded the newly done work
Mike
Bloomie's flower shop vacated 13th & Walnut a year ago, but finally some activity is happening.
Right up the street from Tutti Fruitti which slipped in there unnoticed after Bonti left
Will be another Sweet Endings, taking over the spot of the flower store. guess the rumors of that corner being demolished in order to build a condo, is being tabled at this time. Hmm Korean Ice Cream!!
This guy is using the old headshop's front door as a mirror. I chatted with the new owners and they are building an upscale cigar place in the same space. Complete with humidors.Rittenhouse Square Friends need a new bench
Have a nice weekend. Mike and I are off to our staycation at the Waterfront Condo's on Delaware Ave to see how the other half lives.
MICHAEL JACKSON ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF HIS DEATH

http://www.youtube.com/user/michaeljackson?blend=1&ob=4#p/f/81/hMnk7lh9M3o
I remember I had taken the day off from work and spent it with my sister. I had kept it from her that Farrah Fawcett had died that morning, but when I heard Michael Jackson had died we both wanted to watch the news. So then I had to tell her about Farrah too just in case they announced it. I cried all the way home, for Farrah, Michael Jackson and for my sister. IT was a sad day.

Wish Upon A Hero Foundation is spearheading a revolution in charitable giving. Since the organization’s inception in 2008, Wish Upon A Hero foundation has been directly affecting the lives of individuals throughout the world. Foundation donors are not left to wonder how their contributions are used, as all donations are directly responsible for grating wishes for individuals through www.wishuponahero.com. The shoes were one of 20 pairs sold last week during the Hero in Heels charity auction that raised more than $9,600 for women battling cancer. The fashion show, held at the Trust building on Arch Street, was put together by Dave Girgenti's Wish Upon a Hero Foundation, an online nonprofit that grants requests to people in need.Source: http://www.philly.com/inquirer/columnists/elizabeth_wellington/20100615_Jennifer_Aniston_among_celebs_donating_shoes_to_Philly_Hero_in_Heels_auction.html#ixzz0rYmDHytc

Hero in Heels collects signed celebrity donated shoes and then auctions them off. The money raised from the auction grants the wishes of women who are suffering with cancer, including wigs and prosthetics, as well as some of the basic needs. They were able to get so many shoes because several of the actresses shared the concept with their friends and they were more than happy to donate their shoes too.
It took place Thursday, June 10th from 7-11pm at TRUST (the old Real World house) at 249 Arch Street. Several of the region’s top fashion designers will showed their latest line, including Carmelia Couture, Walish Gooshe, Onyx Noiz and SA VA Fashion.
The seats were filled and the room was packed.
Cashman & Associates Ashley Schaefer and her BFF's
Girgenti started Wish Upon a Hero in September 2007 as a way to grant wishes to people dealing with unexpected tragedies. Many of his requests, he said, were from women with cancer. Some of them were simple: silk scarves to cover heads bald from chemotherapy. Others were more difficult to fulfill - breast prosthesis.
Stephenie LaGrossa & a $100 gift certificate to her restaurant Gigi, went for $200, as did
Scarlett Johanssons - TOD, and Gwen Stefani's LAMB, Jen Utley's Christian Dior, even Heidi Hamels Christain Louboutin clocked in at $200. I would have like to see some of the bids go a bit higher; these shoes retail for more than $200, unsigned. Lots of bargains were to be had that evening, it was an Ebay'ers dream come true.
