THE RED CROSS BALL PHOTOS AT THE PLEASE TOUCH MUSEUM

On Saturday, March 7th the 9th annual Friends of the Red Cross's Red Ball raised over $120,000 this year for the Red Cross organization. A new venue for the popular young friends' ball - the new Please Touch Museum. Surprisingly, as Julie Thorne noted on her FB page, The Red Ball...where no one wore red!!! (Sponsor Exelon's Employees on the Carousel) Thanks to all the Sponsors

There was also the obligatory silent auction. I always love to see what's on sale. (Off Topic [OT] I am watching Oprah right now, seems she uses Skype for some of her guests, I guess even the economy is effecting her as she doesn't have to fly them in. OK now back to our regularly scheduled blog)

Let's just start out with my favorite photo of the night. The camera loves Sabrina and I love shooting her. Like my niece Kelsey, when the camera sees Sabrina magical things happen and she's not afraid of stepping out of the shadows to give us what we need. In the background is Julie Thorne who came down from Connecticut to enjoy in the festivities. The main room was where the dance floor was located as well as the many restaurants that provided the food.

The river room which has a big tree growing in the middle. It reminds me of the Tree of Life in Walt Disney World.
The beautiful and smart Dr. Adriana Torres with the debonair Kerry O'Connor. Arthur Kade, Julie Thorne, Sabrina Tamburino (who's mom returns to Philly today hopefully bringing with her some Florida sunshine) and Steve Thorne.
Geoffrey and Angela Delany
Some of my favorite news people. Some of them had never met each other before, and had really genuine conversations that I was privy to. A lot of compliments and sincere well wishes. After I took this shot most of them sat down and continued conversing into the night. I hope they do have a news reunion another time like we spoke of, maybe a quarterly happy hour or dinner at one of our fab restaurants in town. (BTW I was at Union Trust Tuesday night, YUMMY. Seriously very good, and fairly crowded for a school night.)
Keki R Balsara, NBC 10 Aditi Roy, David Fineman, CBS3 Pat Ciarrocchi, FOX29 Shenielle Jones, Uche Ojeh, CBS3 Susan Barnett, CBS3 Chris May (I still don't recognize Chris May in person, and he is always so gracious. If Philly Mag had a category of "Which newsperson would you leave your spouse for?", no doubt it would be a double date with Susan Barnett and Chris May, those two are breathtaking and nice to boot, who wouldn't want to watch their newscast?)

Since Monica M was engaged to Steve Thorne, were there any dirty looks between Monica M and Sabrina T?

These shots are terrific! Must have been a fun night!
My favorite shots (for obvious reasons) are the one of the "ABC6 news team Mara Webb, Kristie Gonzales, Monica Malpass, Ali Gorman"
Wow! What a lovely bunch of Ladies!
But seriously, no one can hold a candle to my favorite, Aditi Roy and another amazingly beautiful woman, G-N Kang, in that photo! Those two together: STUNNING!
