5th Annual Flavors of Philadelphia – the American Liver Foundation
The American Liver Foundation Delaware Valley Chapter’s 5th annual Flavors of Philadelphia will be the hottest ticket in town, Tuesday, March 3, 2009, as the city hails the culinary soiree of the year. Twenty “prep kitchens” will roll into the elegant Crystal Tea Room to provide ea ch of the local celebrity chefs a private space to prepare their outstanding, gourmet four-course dinner tableside for twelve lucky guests.Last year they added a TWIST, with the cities most notables to assist as Sous Chefs. We are please to announce a few of this years sous chefs, Laura Burkhardt – Group Editor of Morris Publications, Harry Giordano – Senior Director of Development for the City of Hope, Thom Cardwell – Managing Director of the Philadelphia Film Festival. Thom Cardwell Philly CineFest and Harry Giordano – Senior Director of Development for the City of Hope; The next big event benefiting the City of Hope is “Let Them Eat Cake” More than 40 of the regions top pastry professionals and students will compete for top honors at the Fifth Annual Let Them Eat Cake, a Wedding Cake Design Competition on Tuesday, April 14th at LOEWS Philadelphia. Once the cakes have been judged, fondant foodies and brides-to-be will be able to sample the entries, toast the talent with Champagne provided by KORBEL , dance the night away to Back 2 Life by Brandywine Valley Talent, view tables created by EVENTRICITY and instant photos by Majestic Images .A donation of $40.00 per reservation through the City of Hope or $50.00 on the night of the event.
